Armadillidium Klugii “Clown”

Description

Armadillidium klugii, also known as “Clown” isopods, are beautiful isopods with orange and brown bodies and adorable little spots. Our colonies are mixed morph/locality and as such, other naturally occurring color morphs may also be present. This species is a larger Armadillidium, at about 8/10 of an inch when fully grown. This species is slower growing than many other isopod species, and is fairly surface active. Therefore I highly recommend culturing these separately if using in a bioactive setup with primary inhabitants that may snack on them.
